Hello everyone.

My name is Adrian and I'm from Romania. I don't have a 4x4 yet, but I want to buy one in near future. After a few months of research I've decided to look for a Nissan Patrol Y60 2.8.
I'll use it for long trips (that's why I want to remove the back seats and install a nice bed there with drawers underneath for tools and stuff, with a little shower and other goodies).
Now I have to be patient and find a "good" Patrol (without rust and with not so many kilometres on board).
Hopefully I'll find interesting info on this forum :p

@threedogs: We have a saying in Romania: "It's a beautiful country, too bad it's inhabited" :)

Seriously, we have a beautiful country and that's one of the reasons I want to buy a 4x4, to discover it beyond roads. I have to admit that until now in all my trips I drove almost on road, but with such a beautiful mountains and forrests it's tempting to try other places, not available with a normal 4x2 car.

Anyway, I want to start as quickly as possible, because the forrests are smaller and smaller (those !@#$% are cutting the wood without any thinking or planning) and beside that the rumour is that the 4x4 will be soon forbidden (already many forrest roads are closed for cars).

PS: Excuse my English, I hope I didn't made so many mistakes in my posts, but I studied english a long time ago, in highschool and college...

Hope and patience, that's what I need. And beside that, a lot of math :) In my country those 20 yrs old pieces-of-rust are considered luxury items and the taxes are excessive :(
With any car with the engine > 2.0 liters the taxes in 2-3 years are more expensive than the cost of the car itself :(
So the best hope is for an 2.8 engine (owning a 4.2 engine means that you are the BOSS of the BOSSES) - damn those governors and their laws...

In the meantime I'm destroying my 4x2 city car in the forests :)

Lucky me it's light and I can use a manual winch in case of emergency :)
