hey everybody, im doing the head gasket on my 85 L28 SWB just wondering if theres any threads i should look at?

The trick is holding the chaine tensioner n place.


When I done my old l28 head, I found it was near impossible to keep the tesin on the chain. I ended up pulling the frobnt off to reset the chain tensioner. Some people have had luck using a piceng of wood to hold the chain - and I have heard people use a long screw driver to push the chaine temnsioner back in.

use a stumpy screw drive on wire and wedg down in the timming cover before removing cam gear .
