Hey patrol ppl,

Looking at doing the gu diff transfer into my GQ, just wanted to see whether ppl think the price is reasonable and whether it would be a good buy.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Patrol-GU-Front-Rear-diffs-complete-less-centres-/261457942056?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ce01b9628

Also as it comes without centres does that mean I can just buy whatever ratio centres I want/need?, can u buy brand new centres or are they another used item I gotta find. Also does it matter what veichle it came from if there is no centres? is there any difference.

cheers
Gavin

I'm no expert on these things but that looks a bit pricey to me without the centres......
I've seen complete front and rears with centres in the Facebook groups going for about a grand as I recall.

Why? - the gq diffs are strong.

Are your diffs faulty?

You will need to get the centres - if they ar h233b centres you could use your gq centres - but what are you gaining for the $$$$

That is a bargain mate. If your keen then don't hesitate. Your GQ centres will go straight in for the win. Great price.

I have done this swap on my GQ and I am Stoked with the modification.

So the good.

Bigger and stronger CVs

Bigger, stronger, Better Brakes!! A universe better than the GQ brakes!! Unbelievable upgrade right there!!

Also the wheel track is wider by about 50mm and you can feel it. Feels planted.

You will need a GU drag link and Tie rod also and I also upgraded to a GU steering Box.

Happy days! Go for it!!

Its a done deal, only costing me $150 for freight to my door, $1600 in total. I'm stoked. So next question for those that have done this, where do I start? is there any step by step threads or you tube videos. (I cant seem to find any myself).
