G'day all.

Fuel pump packed it in last Friday night whilst out on a track. Managed to dodgy fit a hand pump from an outboard to a jerry can to get me out and back home (nearly 60km away). checked it out later that night, turns out the fuel pump fuse was blown. No problems. Replaced it and all was good. It ran for 10 seconds then the fuse blew again. Ok time to look for a short in the wiring. Couldn't find anything but I am yet to pull the fuel pump out of that tank to have a look. Suspect a short in the pump or something maybe.

If it turns out to be the fuel pump (which I suspect it could be) is there any aftermarket pumps out there or am I better off getting a genuine one. I've heard or commodore pumps being fitted???
However I'd rather spend the extra and get a genuine gq one.

Thanks Glen.

hi glen go to ebay and get an aftermarket one. yu just hve to modify a bit the rubber where the original pump sits, on its ''cage'' at the bottom of the sender. then straight forward. need also to redo the lugs but thats easy. ive done mine and its working fine laz
