I recently bought this straight through system http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/251465696344?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 it fitted up perfectly, but I must say am more than dissapointed, my system sounds like a marble in a tin, it sounds fluttery out the back, and the var sounds like a old tractor, so have decided I want to put a muffler on to make it sound a tad better and not as droney, can anyone recommend a muffler that will give a bit better note that's not to loud and so I can at least hear the turbo sound out the back

Are you sure it's all tight. Are the hanger brackets all correct and sorted? So yor ZD30 is a 4cyl but should still sound OK

Not quite correct Darren. My ZD30 has a Red back 3 inch zorst with hi flow cat and no muffler and it still sounds like poo. It's like v6 Crumpydore owner's putting big pipes on their cars. They sound like chit.
While under load and revs mine does have this whooshing sound which some have said it sounds great. In the end it's a 4 cylinder. You can't expect anything much at all.

Yeah they sound weird with a straight through. Even more reason to get a 4.2 :).

Yeah a mate of mine has a 3 inch straight through on his 3L and it sounds terrible.
But not as bad as when my old petrol bus was leaking through the extractors and sounded like a speedway car haha
