Hi to all ...

I have a 1990 GQ RB30 patrol, standard fuel tank, fitted with 30/10 Micky t's, with 3 inch lift kit. 8 have fitted a snokle, ali bull bar, awing andali roof rack. Since those attachments have been fitted, my fuel economy has fallen markedly.

Any suggestions how to improve the fuel economy, other than remove all the attached and put standard tyres on. I don't expect miracles! But would like to get better than 350 K's per tank driving on the highway.

Ditch the roof rack and awning as that will add to the wind resistance of the troll.....mine uses 1.5lt extra per hundred with awning and rack on. The rack lives suspended from my garage roof and only gets bolted on when needed.

standard size tyres as in some 265s in a lt construction with a
mild tread pattern will increase your fuel figures, with correct tyre pressures.
IMO even 31 will better your fuel figures. 30" are way too small
roof rack will kill any thoughts of good fuel figures

with those tyres you have changed the telemetry of your spedo and are not getting the correct milage
you need now to use a gps to be accurate
