Blue smoke

Hey, Just as my wife took off in my 98 gu patrol 2.8

I noticed it was blowing blue smoke when accelerating?

I have just put new glow plugs in and also blocked the egr?

Thoughts?

I have noticed there is oil in my intercooler and the 2 hoses? Could that be it?

Also i just read somewhere that the oil i put in it might be 2 thin? I put 15w-40? Should i try 20w-40?

So is there a oil additive or something i can get to stop the blue smoke and or wear on the engine?

Or am i best of saving my money and getting the engine rebuilt?
