Hi all
Have just fitted to my GU8 wagon 3" exhaust, red dirt stage 2 chip, blocked the EGR & fitted a Dawes valve, catch can & Hi Flow intercooler.

The boost is around 15psi & the GU really hammers, I' over the moon with the power, but I really have to keep an eye on the EGT as it will climb quick, I don't let it get over 550, but it seems such a waste as it still wants to get up & go,

What else can I try to be able to use all of the power.

Any help would be great (or do I just lighten my right foot)

Mate you've done just about everything except the intercooler. Does the car hit 550 up a hill when really pushed or does it do it on a flat road too ?

Pushed on a flat road, should I try to lower the boost a bit more. (the GU runs really well, only a puff of smoke when I put the foot down)

Common rail engines do run hotter , if it runs good then just modulate your throttle input when your egt climb and enjoy .

needle valve install ?

Yes what limny said do you have a needle valve ?
Adjusting my needle valve to find sweet spot dropped my egts by 50-100. More boost quicker = lower egts.
I used to see 500-600 easy. After Dawes and needle and after market IC I have yet to see it go past 460. And ive really hammered it too to even reach that.
As boots said crds runs hotter apparently.

right next to the air filter housing ,should see a couple of vac lines joined to it . That's where it is on a GU3 .

I Installed a larger bonnet scoop and at highway speed it dropped at least 100 degrees at 110 kmh.
