Fitted some aftermarket gauges and powered them from the cig lighter circuit. Anyway after I finished noticed the Scangauge II was apparently dead. Checked the plugs, all good. Read the scangauge book/troubleshooting page and its says " if screen is blank to check cig lighter fuse " (oh no) anyway the fuse is OK and gauges have power OK , but the scangauge seems to have no power. So I plugged the scangauge into another vehicle to see if would power up but still nothing. I am thinking that maybee I shorted out the scangauge when I tapped into the cig lighter circuit and damaged the scangauge. Can anyone help? Is the OBII plug powered from the same circuit as the cig lighter?? ( on a 2009 CRD)
