HI , This is my first posting so please be kind.
Being concerned about diesel quality I finally purchased a Donaldson unit. Looks larger than the Fuel Manager but is way cheaper. Thankfully the specs also stand up.
Pros
*See https://www.donaldson.com/en/engine/shoptalk/070451.pdf. Shows how a separator works and backs up performance.
*Fuel flow is quoted as over 3 times a standard CAV unit which is good for the fuel pump.
*11 Micron filter should remove most of the crud, extending life of Nissan Filter.
*Replacement filters are approx $23.00 and easy to replace.
Cons
*Size and limited space under GU bonnet.
*As purchased no Instructions or mounting bracket but easily(I hope) overcome.
I have located suitable mounting holes and will fabricate a bracket to suit. Sight glass will not be easily visible so I propose a quick release fitting yet to be found which will allow unit to be raised for servicing etc. Hose from Primer should reach so connecting hoses will be fairly short .
Only another 4 weeks till I leave for the Cape and so much to do.
Cheers
Bob
