You may want to shoot over to the intro's section and tell us about yourself and Trol before posting question.

What model Patrol is it? GQ?

It will more then likely be the wiper amp that's faulty. It's a control unit mounted on the driver side guard near the battery.

It could also be a short in the wire harness that runs to the washer bottle pump.
