GU 3.0 annoying rattle

My GU has developed an annoying rattle that "appears" to be coming from the dash around the left air vent. I have had the radio out and checked for exposed connectors etc.
I "think" it is associated with the exhaust as it kicks in around 2300 rpm and disappears around 3000 rpm. Really bad as it falls right in my normal cruise speed.
I have a Beaudesert 2.75" exhaust and no other engine mods.
Any ideas?

Exhaust mount bracket right above the gear box. Check that first. I had it and I've seen it mentioned few times around here. My one rattles if exhaust gets really hot after car gets pushed a bit.
Also Beaudesert exhaust.

Mine rattled where the engine cover (also the intercooler) connects to the body at the firewall end.

Tightened the nut all good now.

I had a noise that sounded as though it came from that area. It turned out to be the screws holding the snorkel onto the A pillar. I put some thread lock on them when I screwed them back in place and the noise went away.
