Hi Guys
My 1999 gu2 td42 patrol recently lost power at 2000rpm accompanied by a slight vibration.80kmph max.
Up to 80 from zero everything seems normal.
Any ideas?

Could be a blocked filter or some td's had a gauze filter under the banjo fitting on the front left corner of the ip you will need a small hook or pick to dig it out.

Any dash lights on. Check you air and fuel filter.

Please head over to the introduction section and post a g'day thread mate. We like folks to say g'day before asking for help ;)

Excuse my ignorance but what is the ip?

No dash lights. No unusual noises.
In fact unless you tried to accelerate above 80kmph you would not know there was a problem.

Excuse my ignorance but what is the ip?

IP is the Injector Pump.

There is a small Gauze Filter on the pump itself, as described, and this can become partially blocked, causing the symptoms you describe.

All above checked.
Turned out to be faulty injectors.
All good now.
