Hi Genteel men :D,
I'm just wondering, is the above two gearboxes are identical in the sense they can swap from one to the other
without any dramas?!
In other words can I use an RD28 gearbox in an RB30 without any issues?
Thanks

will an rd28 box bolt to a rb30? yesssss sir.
Are all clutches/flywheels interchangeable between the two? so far that i've seen (only two box conversions done) but that's not to say every single one is, there's probably some out there that are the exception to the rule.

gear ratios are a weeny bit different, apparently (never bothered to count teeth)

RB30 RD28
1st 3.324 4.061
2nd 2.077 2.357
3rd 1.360 1.490
4th 1.000 1.000
5th 0.711 0.862

Happy days for you mr Dom14?

Yes sir. I couldn't be happier! :)
You just gave me an enormous amount of data at zero cost. Some of the figures will take some time for me to understand, nevertheless
brilliant, Thanks you heaps.

I would worry about the clutches/flywheels, if or when I get to that. I'm sure, I'll be able to work around a solution if some bottleneck arrives.

So far, it sounds promising for my RB30.

I see a V8 under that bonnet of yours. Or am I hallucinating?! :)
