1999 4.2 GU Patrol

G'day, it's Rickety from Avoca Beach - half way through ignition this morning my Patrol died - completely dead no power at all nothing! Anybody got any ideas? Cheers Rickety

Main fuse I'd say or dodgey battery terminal.

Head over to the I too section mate and say Gday, just like walking into a room. ;)

X2 sounds like a shonky battery terminal or battery,
And as suggested jump over to the intro and tell us a bit about yourself and your Patrol
just something the forum asks of us all.
Lets us know if the new battery fixed your woes

should try to clean the terminals first an see if it makes a difference, wire brush or bit of sand paper

And make sure it is seated right down, and tightened well.

Yeah definitely give the battery terminal a clean and a tighten. I've had cars not start or give funny elec issues just from terminal not getting a perfect connection. At the time thought it was starter or fuses or all sorts I things. Now first thing I check is terminals.

Yes check terminals and also clean the cable terminal holes as well, they also get a build up on them.
