Fan guard

Just wondering if you really need to use the fan guard? Mine is in bad shape it's broken in the middle and has a few cracks here and there and I was thinking about just getting rid of it and not using one at all

you mean the shroud , if so leave it or replace it it helps the fan draw air from all of radiator

100% agree. Paramount to the cooling system. Buy some "Rapifix" and glue it back together and refit it.

stitch it back together with small cable ties too can help hold it in one piece. I rate the Rapidfix for plastic welding though and readily available
