Why do donuts have holes?
Good Question: They didn’t always have holes, and they had soggy centres. The Dutch settlers bought them to colonial America and in 1847 a 15 year old boy, Hanson Gregory from Maine, complained to his mother that they were soggy, uncooked and gave him stomach aches. He took some of them and poked out the centres and when his mother fried them he thought they were delicious. The hole allowed the dough to cook more thoroughly, and now we have the donut.

If it is a 50 mph wind and you drive your car at 50mph downwind, if you stick your head outside would you feel the wind?
Yes you would. Without going into physics at depth. The direction of an individual molecule will not necessarily be in that direction, just that the average movement is. The speed of all the air molecules will not all be exactly the same, as they get buffeted about by each other. If it were possible to control the movements of the molecules, then the answer may well be different.

The other is that, in that same year, Barney Dreyfuss, the owner of the Pittsburg Pirates sent a letter to the owner of the Boston Americans challenging the team to “a World’s Championship Series.”
