Wheel bearings

I checked the wheel bearing on the gu front end and found them to have a bit of movement, however when tightening them, the Phillips head screws restricted tightening to where I had to use screwdriver and hammer to get to next adjustment, the wheel still spun freely, and no movement, but I am a bit concerned how much I tightened the adjustment bolt. On my trailer I usually only hand tighten the adjustment nut to where there is no forward or backwards movement but wheel spins freely. I was just wondering have I tightend the bearings to tight.

Should be fine mate. Did you repack or just tighten them up? If in doubt spin a few times then loosen and re tighten and see how you go lining them up. It's not like you have forced a quarter turn, it will be pretty small really.

I only just adjusted, did not repack, only done 140000, grease looked fine, and it also looked to complicated to repack after looking on forum, especially since I don't have the correct measurement tool for tensioning.
