Hi all I have a 03 GU zd30 I have been led to believe there is a known problem with the oil light staying on
The fix to it is a new resistor
Has anyone done this ... Know where the resistor is located
I would like to do it my self just need to know where the resistor is located

Mine had the dodgy oil pressure switch, but it happened about three weeks after buying it new.

Fix was to replace the sensor, and it was and has been fine ever since.

Mine was an 03 model too, and it seemed to be a batch of sensors at the time, as mine wasnt the only one

The resistor is in the driver side kick panel. Just near the accelerator pedal.

Thanks guys
Turns out there is two sensors one under the turbo and one next to the starter
I had only changed the one I knew of under the turbo
I have now changed the other and problem seems to be fixed oil light is going out straight away

Thanks

I just fitted an oil pressure gauge bud, that way I know exactly what's going on (or not, as the case may be) with the oil pressure.

Happens to the 04 models as well but doesn't do it as often lately

I just disconnected the resistor on my old GU4.

The light worked normally and no other problems.

Nissans recommended fix is to replace both senders and resistor.

I just found that there is two switches now, I had replaced the one under the turbo twice! Replaced the one near the starter! Has worked fine all day
