Just a quick one for you guys. Do you need to use RTV silicone when fitting the water pump or is just using the gasket sufficient?

Its up to you mate i think just used the gasket when i did mine if you use the silicon use it sparingly so when you bolt it up the silicon doesn't squeeze into the water cavity.

I used it, but yea only on the outta 5mm of the case, and only a smear..

Thanks guys I decided not to use it in the end and just used the gasket on its own

I always use just a light smear on both sides of the gasket and never had a leak

The gaskets (not rubber ones) are normally used with gasket goo. You let it set for a couple of minutes, then assemble.
