The Blue/orange wire from the speedo 2P terminal to the ECU on a TB42E Automatic. I am assuming it is a signal to the ecu for speed related data, but I could be wrong. I have studied the manuals but keep coming up blank. Could someone ID its purpose please.

Edit; Blue/orange.

not sure if this helps on the schematic for a 4 speed auto, that Gr/o wire goes from ignition via a 7.5A fuse
it then goes to auto trans control module as well as neutral safety switch and auto trans mode switch'
from the auto trans control module is goes to torque converter clutch solenoid valve.

Thanks, TD. I have looked at the wire in daylight and it is the blue/orange not green/ orange and the diagram says so too.

Sorry, my bad, I should have stopped trying to nut it out late last night:1087: . The speed signal goes directly to the speedo. The speedo has ignition and earth and the blue/orange wire goes directly to the ECM, so it must be an output signal.
