I have a 2005 GU4 Patrol 3.0ltr TD and am having problem when car is fisrst driven each morning.
Car starts perfectly ok but when pulling out onto raod/s for the first 5+ minutes there is almost a complete lack of power ie: you can push down on accelerator but car moves very sluggishly. Once warmed up it then appears to be OK. Can anyone throw any light on this?
Many thanks

Have you sprayed the MAF sensor lately?

hi dekka welcome to the forum im sure we will get to the bottom of your problem but in the short term tell us if anything has been done to the motor ie has the maf been cleaned egr blocked or maybe is there oily residue around your intercooler or hoses that will be a good start to look at. im home today so post away we will see how far we can get into your problem.kev

Thanks for reply. Sory for delay in responding but still getting used to forum site layout.
Original "lack of power problem occured half way along CSR when Engine management light camo on intermittently. "crawled"into Darwin where Nissan changed MA Sensor. Problem solved. Then approx 6 months ago started to notice a gradual lack of power especially when cold, in mornings when, although the car starts perfectly, every time, it will only crawl away at each stop/intersection for the first 5 or so minutes then is much better but still have to give it a real bootful to get it moving
