Does anyone know if I can get my bubbled dashboard repaired. I bought a Y61 2007 model in 2008. I used a protectant on the dash as well as a dashmat however it started to bubble up so I stopped using it. The bubbles have spread over the entire dash. I thought it was something I did so did not report it. I have just read on FB that other people have experienced the same problems with some getting them replaced by Nissan. Is this still a possibility or have I missed the boat do you think?

Nissan should honour a replacement dash IMO
don't let them charge you labour, from what I've read they should refit for Nada , zilch
fingers crossed you're not outside the time period

Nissan have a 6 year free replacement "Policy" on the Dash.
The bubbles are unrepairable, the only option is replacement

I had my 07 done late last year and it was 6 years and 2 months old.
Nissan initially would not have a bar of any cost in replacing it.
In their wirds "nothing lasts for ever"
My words were "two months ago you would have had to do it all for free"

I got the Dealer on side and after a bit of a haggle in the end Nissan supplied the dash and the dealer and I went halvesy's in the labour

Had my 08 ST-L Patrol into Nissan workshop today for replacement of the bubbled dashboard. The bubbles only started over the summer months even though the vehicle spends a lot of time during the day parked undercover. This vehicle was actually built late 07 and complianced in January 08. I bought new from Nissan Dealer Wyong in October 08. At time of purchase, I had the leather and paint treatment, glass tinted etc but this did not protect the leather from getting a dose of acne. Had the dash inspected a month ago by Nissan when it was in for the throttle position sensor replacement. Service guy looked at dash and checked VIN number on computer and immediately ordered a new dashpad without any hesitation what so ever. Only problem I have experienced with this vehicle since new.

Thanks for highlighting this issue. My 08 Wagon has started bubbling on the dash and I'd resigned myself to just buying a dash mat to cover it up. It was only when I saw this thread I investigated further (not that Nissan are advertising the issue!) Fortunately I still have a few months before it reaches the 6 year mark. Again thanks for highlighting it.

I have just had my 08 Patrol dash replaced for free, including labour. To smooth the way, I got a reference number from Nissan Australia and then contacted my local dealer who replaced with no fuss and even better, no cost.
