Hi guys,

I'm a recent convert to patrols after having a highly modded Pajero, yes it kept up with patrols and cruisers.
Picked up a very tidy GQ the other day and am already in discussions with the "minister for finance" about mods for the GQ.
Here's a quick pic of the old girl, 97 RX 2.8td.

Thanks guys, she is in great condition, no rust, no leaks, no nothing except for a sticky door.
Looking at a lift and some 33's but someone has told me I can't put 33's on without a lift, any truth in this? Apparently they scrub?

Welcome Mate, as for the 33s, they will scrub on the mudflaps, which you can remove easy enough, but they will also rub inside the rear wheel arches when you get a bit of flex on. Same on a GU.

So scrub with 33's before a 2in lift, what about after a lift?

Full Awesome :D
Your driving terrain and style in Oz is different from ours here in the UAE. We've got sand and sand and more sand. So we drive on sand and we drive fast on it. No issues in the dunes with 33s and a 2 inch lift.
Now I'm stepping out of my comfort zone, but I theorize that it follows that rock/mud crawling may put the same stresses on the suspension, but at much reduced velocity.
In other words - you're set.
