G'day all
In a couple of weeks I am going to be putting a new clutch in my brothers GQ with the TB42 engine.
We plan on doing from the bottom, we have some good ramps (350mm high) , jack stands, and a hydraulic table to help lift and align stuff. We plan on getting to the top bell housing bolts with a series of socket extension bars and a wobble stick. It worked on the MK I have.
But
While we have it apart what else should we do?
It has 150,000km on it and is in immaculate condition but was owned by an older gent who slipped the clutch a lot. It is getting a heavy duty pressure plate, new clutch plate and thrust bearing.
We also plan on doing the rear welsh plugs and are wondering if it is worth doing the rear engine seal, gearbox or xfer case seals while it is all apart?
Cranky
