Hi all. Just flicking through latest RACQ magazine and a technical article about LED headlight conversions was of interest.
It appears any headlight conversion has to meet ADR46 and the author has not heard of any conversions being certified and has heard of some drivers being fined for unapproved conversions.
I'm not surprised as some older cars and 4WD's around the Bay have lights far to bright and/or misaligned to be used on the road. They would be a very easy mark for the coppers to just sit on side of a busy road and pull up any vehicle that appeared to bright.
