Hi All!
I bought my shorty (RD28T, 230 000 km) with already blocked EGR and opened carter ventilation system (hose was cut and dropped to the engine bay and it hanging and dangling like an ugly p@nis).
Then, I made the oil catch can, change piston rings and back vent system, as it should be.
Now, after 2 years, I can see that my turbo is dry, but inlet manifold is a little bit wet by oil.
So, I suppose what if I will open this contour, after oil catch can again, to protect inlet valves from carbon deposits? Of course not so ugly way, as an previous owner made lol.
I agree that this is not good for ecology, but I don’t think that after the catch can there is so many muds in outlet gases.
Your opinion about this idea - bad or good?
