So, Just got a gq and my only other 4x4's have been an mq that went to the big scrapyard in the sky after I drove it for only a month, and my first car, dont laugh but it was a Lada Niva. All my others have been street performance cars.
So, I now find I look down ( sometimes literally) on other 4x4's and happily wave or smile to any Patrol that I see. I almost feel like Im part of something bigger than me. Are us Troll owners all in some sort of secret pact, or am I slowly losing my smarties?

Yes were all just nuts, sinking so much money into our rigs, just so we can drive them anywhere anytime. Lol

Welcome to the Brotherhood... or maybe just welcome to the forum where people get bitten by the "Patrol Bug"... the bug where the initial symptoms are you buy a patrol (already a great looking and very capable vehicle!) and then see something that someone has done to their (already great looking and very capable) vehicle where they have added a modification and you think to yourself that that would look great on your own patrol..... and so begins the full blown virus that is "I already have a great looking and very capable vehicle, but how can I make it a Monster, in which I can implement my 4-part plan to take over the world!" (insert maniacal laugh here)....

Then again, that could just be me. :D

PS, Will be needing minions in the near future.

I prefer to think we are slightly saner than those who drive Toyota's or jeeps etc but definitely not totally sane as evidenced by the amount of additions we put on our trucks.

I find myself parking next to other Patrols in car parks or letting other on the road catch up just to advertise the site with my stickers which is most likely on the verge of lunacy :-)

Definitely some sort of a cult going on here. I've got the bug too...

Im Honored.
Went down to supercrap today and got some leads for the girl. Seeing its an hours drive home I thought Id wack them in while parked out front. One car stopped, a friggin Patrol. Asked if I was ok.
Im honored.
And yes, I have already forged my own super tuck domination... and yes, my wallet hates me... But I love it

Hi there,

That applies in Europe. Also stop for a chat if possible. But, at least in my case, it kinda doesn't matter as long it's a 4x4 or we meet off-road.

Lada Niva 1600. Ha Ha! I got given one that had a couple of days rego. My son and I took it into to the bush and thrashed the guts out of it. What a weapon! We used it as a paddock bomb for a couple of years. It was unstoppable until the day the electrics ignited it. Burn baby, burn!

hahaha
I too loved that Lada. She was a bush beast. I thought I was the shit because I had a 1988 model, they had a cheap ass pioneer stereo in them, but it was a brand name... Mind you mine was far from " creature comforts". Im 6 foot 4 and could have sat in the back seat... and from factory I didnt have cluster lights. Then one night after a 3 day bender I thought Id change my oil. The stuff just kept going in!, Well, in my drunken stuper I decided 5L was enough oil in a 1.6L engine. Woke up and forgot all about it... Till I filled main St Castlemaine with smoke.
Dropped the oil and she just kept going. Lesson learnt though Lads and Ladetts, If you cant stand, dont change your oil. It will only end in heartache
