im changing the front pads on the gu and I cant get the new pads in past the 2 clips is there any trick to doing this

yeh just the clips I sorted it pulled clips outwards and they went straight in thanks

I find them to be a pain in the rrrrs. However it easier on a patrol as the breaks are huge. It sucks big time on little cars

Kev, dunno about yours over there but think they will be the same, give the calipers a good clean, the pads need to move on the guide rails. If they are rusty and full of crap, the brakes won`t work as efficiently as they should.

suppose you could call them guide rails it was just the clips at each end of the calipers that are removeable anyway 1 hour for the first one and 5 minutes for the second one thanks everyone

what were the rotors like ???
rotors are nice rubber seal very good all good now brakes work a treat they were getting close so they were a bit sloppy but got some rubbish inbetween the pad and rotor hence the change

The first time is always a pain and as you said the second is easy Peasy.
