Im half way through a td42 conversion into a 98 tb45 gu patrol.
Just trying to sort the wiring out.
I have the engine running, but i cannot seem to get the air con to work.
air con system is fine, compressor wont kick in.
Does anyone have any information on doing one of these conversions?
Is it best to remove the ecu all together, or leave it in?

any help appreciated.

You need to join the Light Green with a Black trace wire to the Yellow with a Blue trace wire at the the ECU connector, pins 9 and 46

does the ecu need to still be connected?

It shouldn't need to be........it depends how you have wire the rest of it up.

Does it have gas in the A/C system?. It won't cut in unless there is gas in the system due to the pressure switch.

No, that's all you need to do, Have you double checked the A/C relay and fuses?

I've already posted the wiring diagram above. The only other thing you need to know is A and B are connected to fuse 6 in the fusebox inside the vehicle.

Thanks for the help, I'm out of town for a work, so I'll have another go when I get home in a week
A/c is gassed, checked continuity on the pressure switch.

Does your interior fan work? Does the light in the A/C switch light up when the switch is on?

Start by checking that fuse 6 in the fusebox inside the vehicle isn't blown.

With the ignition on, short the Yellow with a Blue trace wire (the one at the ECU) to ground. This should switch on the A/C relay on and supply power to the A/C compressor.

Let us know how you go with that.

Cheers Rodney

Yendor how come the aircon doesn't kick in when doing the conversion from tb45 to td42 even though I left aircon system in and didn't touch the wires for it? Just curious I will be finishing wiring this weekend coming.
