Hi All

Does anyone know of any aftermarket upgraded rear axles for sale?
I have a bit of a project underway and need to do what I can to upgrade the drivetrain.
I have found front axle and CV upgrades. Will be getting heavier duty driveshafts and lockers.
What I can't find is upgraded rear axles. Would prefer to buy some instead of making custom jobs.

Another option is to build a custom Ford nine inch rear end with a huge array of upgrades available.
Has anyone else been down this path?

Patrols run the strongest diffs around..
Why down grade??
Grab a gu drive line with the bigger cv's, nit sure if the do chrome moly gu cv's like they do gq diffs..

the only upgrade unless already equipped is the patrol h260

The patrol h233 is a 9.5 inch diff with 33 spine axles
The h260 is just shy of 10.5 inch with either 35 or 37 spline axles depending on the model I believe.

I am not 100% sure but I think the only upgrade for a patrol diff would be a dana 60

What power are you looking at running? And what sort of application?

I have a Duramax on order via PID from SoCal diesel capable of a safe 800hp + tune. This will be bolted to an Allison 6 speed and billet convertor with 1000hp rating.
I am aware that it is near impossible to transfer this kind of power to the ground but it will have five switchable tunes from economy to wild, with FUN and durability being the aim
I would like to stick with Nissan components (for reasons which I am still trying to get approved) however 9" components are readily available.

I think with what you are aiming for then your reasoning with the 9" is fair and probably not a bad option due to as you know the infinite aftermarket goodies for these. The only other real option is to use a diff out of something that is factory fitted with the duramax and something the yanks will also have a good aftermarket for.
