Hi all!

This post been long time coming as I've been a lurker for a while. Now that I've got my Patrol in sufficiently good working order it's time introduce it to the world. I'm not exactly new to the Patrol scene as I've been on front seat watching my brother Ade (http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/member.php?2878-Ade) working on his black Patrol for 3 years or so now - some of you might be familiar with that one.

I got my 1993 Y60 back in Sep 2013 almost stock and we've been working on it one thing at a time. Lots of maintenance work, getting all the various parts in good order and replacing old ones, some probably have never been replaced since it got on road back in 1994. Other than that I've changed the tyres and wheels, currently using 285 tyres on 8.5" wheels. Also installed a turbocharger a couple of weeks ago and my face is now sore from smiling so much. Looking forward to install a snorkel very soon, followed by front bars, roof racks, etc. Being in North Borneo means we have a lot of rainforest and impassable roads to explore!

I've been reading and learning so much on this forum and hopefully I can contribute in some way. Here are a couple of pics.

How it used to look like, back in September 2013:

And in December 2013, sitting pretty next to the Black Patrol. As you can see, I've jumped the gun and got me a sticker too :)

Oh he's around. I couldn't have done all these without him and a few other friends. He's been obsessing with the TPS unit and his transmission recently but I think all is well now.

Welcome to the forum mate. Great looking GQ you've got there. Never made it to Borneo but have driven the entire length of Malaysia. Some awesome off road fun to be had!

Thanks all for the warm welcome.

Earlier I mentioned about fitting on a snorkel soon - didn't realize that meant this morning! So a cleaner truck this time with a safari snorkel installed. I was debating on whether to install a DIY stainless steel snorkel instead but went this way for no particular reason. The new design is certainly much fatter than the old one in the background hahah...

looking good mate, was over your way 4 years ago staying at the island off the coast of kota kinabalu at the eco resort there was an awesome place to holiday and go diving, didn't get to see much of the mainland because it was monsoon season at the time we went but a great place to visit and the people are genuinely nice to you and love to have a chat. The hard part the pubs didn't open until 4 or 5 in the arvo and closed at midnight unless you had the money to spend in the hotels..

anyhoo Welcome champ and enjoy the world of patrolism
