Did anyone catch the camel shank bbq segment on channel 9 on Friday?
All I saw was the shank laying in a 6 burner bbq, bloody huge.
What I didn't get was to hear how it tasted etc

My wife saw it and they said it tasted fine, just like lamb. About 10 years ago I tried camel, emu, buffalo, croc and heaps of other exotic foods at a restaurant in Sydney. All tasted great to me, then again I'm a cannibal when it comes to food.
Try anything at least one, had on old post on here about eating my way through the alphabet.

Yeap, my mate has that covered, he had some Zebra jerky. I'm claiming it's covered by horse which I have eaten.

What was horse like? I'm the same... Will try most things once. Got told croc was fishy tasting and oily but loved it.

What was horse like? I'm the same... Will try most things once. Got told croc was fishy tasting and oily but

Horse meat was similar to beef, mainly had it smoked so had a different flavour. Agree croc isn't at all fishy, I've also eaten it since in Port Douglas. Had camel burgers at the BBQ yesterday, very tasty and they were Aussie camels.

Had buff steaks at the Travel lodge in Darwin very gamey but edible.
They say croc will take on the flavour of what it eats,
Love croc burgers ,Camel is Ok, Just watched a show "surfing the menu" where they ate Magpie geese not much meat
As for camels we have more camels here than the camel countries

Just have normal Croc, and drink it with VB
