Hi everyone, just bought my first real 4wd and am loving it..
It's an old 4.2 petrol gq but the previous owner was an offroad nutter/wincher and has done all the major stuff for me. Its not a daily driver.
Arb air lockers, TJM ox bar and winch. Very long travel suspension and 35' mud's with a total roof clearance height of 2.3 meters without the roof cage (which is on order).
It's alot different to the Mitsubishi Triton ute i use to have.. lol
Now i just need to set it up to suit the offroading i will be doing out west and up north with the SSAA farmer assist programs i do. (Pest Mitigation)
Its definitely not a pretty rig but from the photo's i saw of what it was doing, i think it should be able to tackle most things.
I wish it had a few more ponies as i also tow a camper and i'm sure this forum will steer me in the right direction, after all it's alot cheaper to learn from other peoples mistakes than doing them yourself
