Patrolling beginner, purchased 2008 DX manual 4 weeks ago. Bulbar, winch, draws, cargo barrier and now looking for 2" lift. Advice on 2" lift from experienced patrollers would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Wogboy.
Suspension needs to be tailored to suit your individual needs, taking into account loads carried, accessories fitted, and the sort of driving you do etc. Best bet is to talk to a suspension specialist. There are plenty of good brands to choose from.

Another thing to consider if you are planning some long distance trips off road is strengthening the rear spring towers. Check this thread for more info; http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/showthread.php?492-Low-voltage-welding-rods&highlight=atoc

Thanks Guys
Thinking to install EFS or Lovells kit or maybe stretch my budget and buy OME kit but don't know if extra money for OME is for higher quality or marketing.

I was quoted $1270 for OME 2" lift (4x shocks, 4x springs, 2x rear sway bar brackets). Could someone tell me if that's fair price or should I post this question somewhere else?

The question would be better in the mechanical section but seeing as how you asked nicely, that price is quite reasonable.

Welcome Woggy
Gotto ask though, that looks like a can of 4X to me.
What's a nice boy like you drinking stuff like that when a man can drink real, full blown, flavour primed home brew?
Good luck with the chariot
