IMO, don't get one or the other. Get both. I have a DP Chip and a 3inch Redback zorst, hi flow cat only and no muffler. Goes alright for a ZD30.

yea im going to get both at the same time. and do you do the Dawes Valve, Needle valve and EGR plate before the chip and exhaust or do it at the same time?

I went with DPChip and Taipan 3" exhaust. Also blocked the EGR and fitted EGT and boost gauge.

Is there specific info your after.

At first I was not happy with the results until I drive the car for an hour or so. That's when I realised the difference in driving.
There is more performance, better fuel economy. I went from mid 14's to low 13's, torque is definitely up.
Which ever way you go, do your own research and make your own decision.
Try to read between the lines of what close to fact and what blatant fiction.
Will you get 30-40% increase in power from the chip, easy answer NO.
With chip and zorst 17-20% would be a point. I guess extra 20kw.

The truth is I don't know what my increase in power torque is, but I can feel under foot. On ZD30 any power increase is welcomed. Just keep an eye on your EGT's and do your NADS for extra protection.

to benefit the most both need to be done together,
make sure you get an EGT bung welded into the dump pipe.
You'll be happy with the result,
but IMO chips are a bit over priced for what they are
Get your NADS fitted first so you can control boost from larger exhaust

Bloody oath john! My steinbauer chip was $1200 -1400 from memory sure there is a difference but maybe not 1400$ worth.

Well you should get an EGT gauge while your at it along with the boost gauge so do it all once I reckon. Doesn't really matter though as long as you have a boost gauge in to set the Dawes. EGT can be done after...

Not sure what I paid but nowhere near $1300, some can be transferred for make to make.
I'd be checking ebay etc ,
Yendor just sold a chip cheap IMO just the other day,
Pretty sure he sold it anyway. only his drawers system is left I think

I just got back from my first towing my van trip with the steinbauer chip and I ve gone from 20 to 22 litres per hundred to 15 on this trip I would say with some tougher trips I would go upto about 18 per hundred so I tow some 5 to 10 thousand a year so im very impressed plus the power increase is nice.kev

I've fitted a Roo systems chip and 3" exhaust , The exhaust fitted like a glove :-), I don't believe you get 35% power I would say more like 25% It cost $2650 for the lot and have to say i'm very happy.
