What I find interesting is judging by posts on a few facebook pages, there are people out 4x4-ing today. Few snaps from Tullarook and King lake. I mean... I know the area well as I use to live not far from Wagga... you should have told us we could have met for a nice hot cup of coffee!!!!

When I lived up there we got a 2 week run of 45 degrees and the house I lived in had no insulation and no air conditioning...it was hell.

The worst thing is that you dont sweat much in the dry heat and sometimes dont realize how dehydrated you are, I still went though a sh1t ton of water and gatorade, one of the apprentices had a spew then went for a lay down in the arvo, a bit of heat stroke.

Mixed emotions, as on the upside I got to spend a full week with our 10 month old sun. On the negative side, this weather absolutely kills me, as I grew up in snow a meter deep, so I'm not built for this sort of s*** 5 days in a row. But oh well...

You poor sucker! But i know that feeling. Especially when i was on the back of a ship in the middle east in summer working over a hot helicopter engine. Id put my foot over the edge while working ontop of the helicopter(these are huge helicopters btw) and the sweat would run down my body down my leg and it would look like i was peeing.

Being hot and sweaty isn't that bad, even working inside a workshop thats 40 degrees, the worst part is the motors don't cool down and after a couple of weeks break its hard to get your asbestos hands back lol

We have a full on thunder storm south of Adelaide now.

Feel for the CFS volunteers, they have been battling fires all week and it would be getting a lot worse tonight.
They have support going to the riverland from NSW and to Ceduna from WA to help out.

You can get an app which holds the shutter open but then you can select a still from the frames. Tops for lightening.
I'll try find it.

Just found a better app..
Lightening app. It's continuously takes shots so while the lightening goes you them hit capture and it brings up the previous few seconds worth of shots and you pic the best few..
Awesome idea..
