Nissan Gu loss of power

I was driving Nissan GU 1998 2.8litre turbo diesel and all of a sudden it started losing power. It felt like I was in the wrong gear. I changed down in gears but the car stopped. Does anybody know what could be wrong with the car. Maxwell

clean the maf sensor/ check battery/check altinator /diesel filter /power to glo plugs etc

Remove on clean your battery terminals, weird how it just stopped.
Do one fix at a time then you'll know what the problem is.
Make sure you have a very good earth as well
