Hi all.
I bought a 2001 3.0 diesel in the Uk three years ago and have been using it here in Africa on a Carnet. I noticed a few months ago, while looking for the radio code, that the engine had been replaced in 2005. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to find out where on the engine they stamp the number. There is a number on the cylinder head but I am looking for one on the block. Or is the one on the cylinder head where they put it. I also cant find the Vin number on the Chassis although there is that plate under the hood with it on.
I look forward to any help with this as I will now be very nervous when crossing frontiers.
