No vac required just boost.
I went with Autron gauges and love them.

But on the upper end of money scale.

zero to 30 you don't need minus, vdo make a great gauge but that's up to you,
There is an adaptor that fits under your boost sensor that will make hooking up the boost
gauge easier.

You install pyro to monitor engine temps when driving, eg towing up a hill flat stick temps may climb to 500-600 degrees C.
that's when you start backing off and drive to the conditions.
Cr diesel tolerate higher temps than the Di 3 ltrs.
Plus will tell you if something has gone Pear shaped big time.

sorry one more thing with the boost gauge did you get electric or Mechanical?

oddkid82
10th January 2014, 02:12 PM
I got my gauges off eBay. I am pretty sure they are mechanical. The boost only needed power for the lights and the pyro had its own wiring loom. Thaw hard part was getting to the dump pipe for the pyro probe.

Yo Mate check Adrians shop I've noticed he does passenger pillar pods, Not sure if for more gauges or switches
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pillar-Pod-3-Gauge-suit-NISSAN-GU-Patrol-PAINTED-Trim-K-Deepest-On-The-Market-/271254507992?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f280751d8
Noticed he does pods for LHD Patrols but the angle is all wrong, I've sent a message to Adrian to see if its possible to modify them

Your Boost you'll have to pick up somewhere, a lot of people use the adapter that sits under the MAF sensor like this one.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Quick-Fit-Boost-Gauge-Adapter-Nissan-Patrol-ZD30-/360825587071?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5402e1857f&_uhb=1

Your EGT's you'll have to pick-up from the dump pipe. Do you have an aftermarket exhaust with a bung ready for the pyro ? If not you'll have to get one welded in.
Oil I'm not sure, never dealt with it personally.

Farkin good spot for extra switches there mate. Might have to steal that idea if i ever get around to adding a pillar pod. Just can;t afford the 6hunge in two gauges yet.

Like I said. You get what you pay for. Auber may be a good brand here but its probably rubbish everywhere else. Probably...
