You shouldn't be getting ads as your a forum sponsor

Do you have 2 click on something or are there certain words that when you move your mouse over them the add pops up?

If its the second you have ad ware virus, I had that happen ages ago and thought it was the forum at first but then noticed it happen on other websites.

My advise would be to run a malware program, If you don't have one I use the free version of this: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Also worth 2 run your virus scanning program after you run the malware one

May be worth running malware ,spybot or something similar on your comp mate.

Hey fractser,i reckon I got this from proshow gold, seriously it happened straight after I downloaded it....ran a Norton scan still no luck....

My computer wouldn't let me download the last on either as it reckons that's unsafe..

mind you I had a foreigner on the phone telling me it wasn't a telly marketer,so I told him I didn't know him so he should hang up.maybe it's he....telling me my computer was slow....

Did you download proshow from their site or a third party site?

Either way, i`m real sorry if it did this to your pc mate after my recommendation, I have used it for years whilst doing wedding photography and never had a problem.

You could try uninstalling it and running Malware as linked above.

Does norton use an anti malware and anti spyware within the program.

Not that I'm any help with this but I had the same problem when using a basic type antivirus from I can't remember now.
Then I D/L Avast Pro as it had anti everything. And all I did was kept scanning and scanning and scanning and with each scan it would find something to rid until it had nothing to rid and all was well again.

Avast is good stuff, but not alone, still run the malware program.

Haven't required a separate malware program as yet.
I run this on both the PC and laptop and no probs to date.

I run several just because one will capture some that others won't. In your case all sounds good :)

Actually now that you say you run several, I'm pretty sure when I got avast pro, I was using other tools in conjunction.
To try and grab everything as quick as possible.
Before you start seeing the chair moved by itself. Lol( that's not really funny though ).

Just download malware in the link I supplied and run it, if Norton tries to stop it from downloading or running disable the program ( after disconnecting from the net as norton may be your firewall as well )

Mate Norton, behind iTunes is the worst piece of software in a long sad history of bad software. It is useless. Sends it's roots throughout your system and it's game over. Chokes it , slows it down... Does more harm than, good.
Use Microsoft security essentials. One of the best on the market now and it's FREE.

Trend is not too bad, you can also download Trend House Call to run a free check and clean. You will have to disable Norton though, it is shite that one.

Trend also offers both Mac, PC & Andriod protection and has remote locate and lock function for tablets and phones if you lose them

Did you have the browser closed and did you restart your pc after you ran the malware scan and deleted the 62 items???

Also another thing to check is your browser add - ons and disable / remove anything you don't recognize, could be an add on that keeps loading up

Cheers

It will not only be on this forum Winnie, If you play around on various websites you will start to notice it there 2. I had the same thing ages ago and swore that it was something on this forum. Untill I started seeing it appear elsewhere and then running malware bytes it was just more visible on the forum

Winnie

Nah only showed on the forum, not any other websites. Must be something to do with them knowing what your most visited site is or something. But ran Malware bytes and it's gone now.

I think you might want to get your porn from magazines instead of the Internet. Lol

I assume you talking about the part on the left of the screen.
Have you tried going into
-control panel
-program's
And try to find the program that has that little "T" icon and remove it from the system. Then run your protection programmes again.
