Can lpg and petrol run at the same time

Hi Guys, as you know I have trouble with my lpg on my patrol and the mobile auto elec got me going on petrol . Yesterday I checked cleaned up all the lpg wire points and wire connectors . the auto guy showed me what wire he cut to get me going on fuel, so I reconnect those wires and hope that it would back to normal , but no go ,so back to petrol . Now because the led light on the sub switch hasn't been working ,it was hard to tell was on , So I started it up and it run like it was on lpg. push the button in and it kicked over to petrol ,the Rev's dropped abit as it does on petrol . my ? is should this running at all on lpg or are both fuels running ? regards Alex

It would run like a dog if it was dual fuelling, basically it cant way too much fuel at one time
