I need to get new tyres for the GU. I dont do alot of off road, but still want all terrain as do go across paddocks for firewood a fair bit.

Any recommendations?
Thanks

The BFG A/T's are a great tyre, the Mickey Thompson A/T's are quite aggressive for an all terrain and might just give you the best of both worlds.

Yokohama A/T-S
They last well, perform well, are quiet and don't harden up and become deadly in the wet once they get a bit older like the BFGs do

A set of Mickey Thompson ATZ's or even the ATZ P3's would be a good consideration

Put a set of Cooper AT3 on mine, very impressed. Did a big outback trip last winter with out a flat, chipping or scalloping. Wore well and are not too noisy.

My muddies are Micky MTZ, they are also performing well so my guess is their AT style tyre would be every bit as good.

They are supposed to be made in the same factory, but to different specs. The quality is good from my experience, and yes I will buy the same again.

Hi im very new to the site and not sure if im in the right area but Im looking at getting a set of muddies for my 98 gu 4.5l petrol patrol but im hoping not to lose as many km's as my brother did putting mickey thompsons (70km less)on his pajero... is there a muddie that will not lose as many km's to a tank. Thanks

They all will mate... Especially if you're going up in size. That will make the biggest difference.

Nice choice!

Good tyres, but can't agree with them being quiet. I ran a set on my previous vehicle. They were noisy from the start and got worse with age.
