Hi again I have a chance to buy a service body for a song and I'm thinking of turning it into a trailer
for a tradesman. good idea or not . I'll put 4x4 Rims and LT tyres. Its the body down the bottom with all the doors

How heavy is the unit? Does it have some sort of framework, 3D?

Not sure of the weight he did tell me , I'll find out tomorrow.
should be easy enough to sit it on a frame.

That would be an awesome Tradies Trailer with a top Rack 3D. I'm sure it could be a good camper trailer too with some thought.

About 10 years ago a builder we worked with had a ute with an XL body like that, great to work out of but heavy even when empty. The ute struggled with it so he got rid of it.
Making it with 4x4 rims etc will cater to a different market and I reckon will be a winner.
Good project

I like the pod above it! That would make a good camper with a fox wing awning and rooftop tent and big water tank under slung that would be a winner

Single axle with Alco off road springs and greasable shackles and electric brakes.
Will incorporate a water tank some where. Will be building it with
provision for a car topper tinny. Huge potential, huge.
The other pods are not for sale, bummer eh

Give it a go.

I had a look at it and I think it would only weigh 200kg-300kg if that. looking forward to building it now
Now I'll need to source some GQ Ti mags. give it some bling and saleability it will only run 265s x 16 ATs'
Tow bar wise it'll be 180cm long with a 50mm ball coupling, flip up jockey wheel, enclosed draw bar
.
I'll build a frame for compressor on the front of service body, then again I may keep this one and sell my other one which I plan on doing anyway.
