I have a foobar 5 speed box here that I want to start looking into rebuilding. I first want to get a breakdown diagram of the box with part numbers. I have NissanFast here but it wont show the breakdown for parts. I can only find the complete box on there, sub section 320...
Anyone have any idea's of where to obtain this info?
Thanks.

There is a cd you can get that has numbers but these aren't the Nissan numbers. Could you try Nissan and ask them to print it out for you?

Thanks Matt. I thought about ringing my Local Nissan, but they are a bunch of miserable sods in there. I might have to go to another dealer and ask there. I just want to work out what I will need and make up a list and work out the cost's. I know it needs 5th gear and the mainshaft, a bearing kit, just wondering whether to do the syncro's too. And what ever else I find when I strip it down.

Thanks I have tried the first link before, I was hoping to get a print out of the exploded diagram aswell from Nissan Fast but it won't bring up a picture like nissan4u does, but i can't print that out either...I like having it on paper in front of me, I find it easier like that. I'll find a way...

Will do Rodney. i think something is up with my Nissan Fast program. As I just tried to get a picture of something else that I know I can get and nothing comes up. I might do a reinstall of the program and see if it works.

Mudski,
Just do a Print Screen and Paste it to a Word or Powerpoint Document and printout.
If you are using Windows7, then just use Snipping Tool to capture what you want, then Paste as above, or
Use a Little Program like Cam32 to do the same for XP or earlier....

Bearing kits aren't an issue. I get them dirt cheap through cbc bearings. Its more the other parts like synchro's and other bits.

Finding the parts wont be an issue. I wanted to get a print out of the gearbox on paper so I dont get lost in what I need. I might have to do the print screen option I think.

Huh? Are you reffering to the 5th gear failure these boxes have? I reckon the box in my car has been done as the transfer case is a different colour to the gearbox. Looks like they changed the box over and kept the transfer case. But I don't know for sure, and if they did. Did they just put in another second hand box that still has the weak 5th gear?
Gunna build this one up anyway....

I have little skills with gearbox's. Its been a very long time since I have touched a gearbox. Last gearbox
I touched was a Roadranger 15 speed gearbox from a truck. And thats going back well over 10years. But Theres no harm in trying, I ain't gonna work on the bench if something is in wrong. Plus I will do research, as much as I can...
