Hey guys,

My name is Andy, go by the forum username Love Ke70 as I have since I was about 15 when I got my first ke70.

I'm a Brissy/Gold coast based Chippy running a crew of guys building everything from office fitouts in highrises to new houses to dental surgeries, we really do it all and I love it.

I have had my pootrol for about 6 years, 7 years I dunno now haha. 97 GQ coilcab ute, TD42, 35's, 4" lift , MCA suspension (hes doing my racecar so I couldnt help myself haha) 200rwhp, laminova cooler, pump by swaffie and turbo by united fuel injection, 4" one piece snorkel. And its currently sitting in the shed waiting for the motor to get back from the engine builders after it did 2 head gaskets in 50K. I did the rebuild myself and I thought I had messed up, turned out one of the piston liners sunk a couple of though and found itself below the deck height. They are doing it under warranty as they did all the machine work.

Enough about the ute, or I will be here all day.

the Ke70 has a 1G-GTE out of a supra in it, and after twisting the last chassis (which was in less than ideal condition) I imported a 2 door sedan from the states so I could put a full cage in it and keep it street registered etc etc.

currently getting the cage finished and pedals and seats mounted, then motor will be ready for a tune to get it engineered then the real fun will begin, chasing 400rwhp at less than 1000KG. street registered but track orientated, it should be a blast.

So I guess you now know what I do for fun, between that and running my own business I dont have too much time for getting into trouble, but I am meant to be building my own house soon, according to the missus haha

Any questions fire away, great to become a part of this thriving community :)

Cheers, Andy

if you look really closely you will see my truck in the middle of there.
found the leak in the airbox that caused me to stall smack in the centre.
do not do this :P

looks like that could be expensive to repair, how much did it suck in?

motor was a fresh build with only 25,000 on it.
filled up 5 and 6. didnt bend a thing! a month off the road as me and the missus gutted the whole thing and disassembled then reassembled everything electric.
so really, the cost was quite small, the 3 points and the ticket were another story...

Thanks Trekster, has aleady read the death from towballs thread, is an eye opener for sure.

got the truck fired up today, but alas, discovered i muffed up when refitting the harmonic balancer, going to get a new cone and woodruff key on monday, but need a new harmonic balancer,
other than that, the truck sounds tough as again, pretty stoked to finally flick the key again, Must start a rides thread soon.
