Dual battery mounting question

Anyone see a problem with me having my dual battery controller mounted here? reason being is i have my aux battery in the boot and the positive cable wasnt long enough to reach and i had a larger spare cable that also wasnt long enough to go from engine bay to the boot so moved it here. Plus i can now reach the push button to join the battery if main battery goes flat.

Nothing wrong with that spot each to there own, I'd prob be putting some split tube over the wires, how's voltage drop to the back? Got any fuses on the wires close to the batteries?

no fuses yet put i have only mocked it up it isnt hooked up at either battery yet. Havnt tested voltage drop hoping i get enough to keep the battery charged even if it wont start the car. How do i check the voltage drop as it doesnt always charge it or does it. Do i just use a voltmeter?

Multi meter on the starter and then test the aux the less diffrence the better

IMO, a Better option/design, it has post/nut terminals for connections, that way you can solder proper ring terminals on the end of the cables, and also mount more than one cable on the same post terminal at a time if you need to.

I doubt repco would have anything like that in their stock, I just checked on fleabay and you can get the same ones from hong kong for $10 free delivery if you can wait for them.

I got one of those 70 amp jaycar ones to run a power cable to a rear fuse distribution block, look pretty good. From memory around the $20~ mark
