I'm looking at some new AT's for towing my caravan. I've looked at BF's, Mickey's, Coopers, Toyo and Kumho tyres and they all seem to have similar load rating of around 126. My last tyres were rated at 116 and were gone after 16000klicks.

126 rating = 1700kg
116 rating = 1250kg per tyre.

My caravan is about 2.7t loaded and I don't want to go through tyres that quick again. So my question is, will 126 rating be OK?
Does anyone know of a tyre with a better load rating(must me AT) or know from experience which tyre will last.

Cheers

I have bfg km2's and tow 2.5-3t basically every second weekend and half of that would have been 100+ ea way. They are up to 80,000km and I will see 100,000 out of them.

Hmmm, I wonder if I should just leave mine on then....I have KM2's on ATM.

Always had a long run from BFGs tyres either at or mt.
AT went well over 100Ks

if driving in central Australia stay with BFG's, they are readily available anywhere anytime, if ur local then it really doesn't matter, almost any AT that gets good wear will do the job, name means nothing, total personal preference
