Gday, back on the forum after learning a lot with my old GQ and eventually selling it after too many little issues. Have recently acquired a GU 4.5 auto with low k's and some fruit and have a question.

My 1998 TB45 auto has 3.9 ratios, my old man is wrecking his 2002 4.8 manual which has the bigger brakes and 4.3 ratios which would suit the 35's on my car much better.
Basically my question is, if I wanted to swap the brakes and the complete front and rear axle out of the 4.8 and vice versa (the 4.8 still needs to be driven as the old boy still drives it on his property) what hiccups am I going to encounter?

Basically to sum it all up, what I am asking is. Front diff is simply a matter of taking one out and putting the new one in, then changing the calipers over. Is the rear gonna cause me any trouble going from h233 to h260 brakes and all? What about the handbrake? Will everything go back into the 4.8 to make it driveable again?

Cheers.
