Hi I'm mark I'm currently working as an electrician and my patrol is my work vehicle and my play vehicle.
Been a long time reader but first time poster on this forum.

Recently completed a trip to mount walker/lidsdale and had a lot of fun hanging out camping in the area.
Done a couple of trips (cape york-southern highlands) but hoping to get up to fraser in the near future and cape york in the next couple of years.

Currently chasing a front seal issue on the old girl. 2002 Gu Ute Coil Cab 4.2 TD Replaced the Front seal while back when i had the motor out to replace the rear main and clutch(not a fun job) and the front leaked again a few 1000'ks later. Popped my head in at local mechanic for a qoute on getting it replaced by a professional, assuming id cocked it up somehow and was told to check the sump was venting properly...? I guess a pressurized sump would cause you to blow seals not sure how to check its breathing properly other than removing the oil filler cap... maybe someone here knows more about that...

Regards,

Mark

Welcome Mark.

check the operation of the PCV (Pressure Control Valve)(or something ;) ) on top of the rocker cover near the back. about 80mm round and will have a hose coming off it going to your air filter box.

G'day Mark,

Great to have you on-board, and lets hope that you get the leak fixed easily.

Welcome to the forum mate, feel free to ask any questions.

You may also want to post any questions in a different section as a lot of people don't read the intro's.
